How many times have you dried my eyes? Who knew ambiance music, soft yellow display lights and shelves of books I’ve had no time to read could be so comforting?
I wave hello and goodbye to your resident greeter, forever dressed for the cold weather, forever smiling from ear to ear. I will never forget her senior citizen afro and the way she made me feel welcome in this place.
You make me sad to go home. If I could I would take you with me.
But, tell me, who could pack a building in a box?
Can I take them all home with me?
Can I take it with me?
…like the guy who took his teddy with him to the study room.
Rollins Late Nite
Guy 1: I don’t like cats—but I like kittens. It makes me want to have a tiger.
Guy 2: …Yeah, I want a tiger.
Walking home from Switzler Hall after another sad day, head bowed down and shoulders slumped
Planned to cry it out
Looked up to cross the street, see where I was going
Lo and behold: a guy in a penguin suit holding up a sign
“Free hugs,” it said.
Who would pass that up?
Totally worth it.
